2025 Annual Pasture Update, Cudal

Our recent Central West Annual Pasture Update was a success in Cudal on Friday 7 March. Bringing together a keen group of like-minded farmers and industry experts, attendees enjoyed presentations from Matt Newell (Pastures Researcher, NSW DPIRD), Tony Butler (Executive Officer, Pasture Trials Network) and Ed Clayton (Livestock Researcher, NSW DPIRD) on the topics below:

1. Low methane pastures of the Central Tablelands and Slopes | Matt Newell, Pastures Researcher, NSW DPIRD
2. All things pasture trial network | Tony Butler, Executive Officer, Pasture Trials Network
3. Mixed annual forage crops for sheep production and maximising omega-3 in pasture-fed beef and lamb | Ed Clayton, Livestock Researcher, NSW DPIRD

An inspection of the Pasture Trials Network site was also conducted after lunch. “A well run and thought through event” was some of the feedback we received. In all, a very successful day.

Next year's Pasture Update will be held around the same time in the Central Tablelands region of NSW, so keep an eye on our socials for details! Big thanks to Central Tablelands Local Land Services for their assistance in the organisation of this event.
